EBISA School Fair • Tuesday, October 11, 2011 • 6:30–8:30 p.m.
Prospect Sierra School will be participating in the East Bay Independent Schools Association (EBISA) Fair at the Doubletree Hotel in the Berkeley Marina.
Elementary Information Day (K-4) • Sunday, October 30, 2011 • 12:30–4:00 p.m.
Prospective parents/guardians are invited to the Tapscott campus for an overview of the Elementary School. There will be opportunities to meet key administrators, faculty, and current parents, and to learn about our program. This event is for adults only.

Middle School Information Day (5-8) • Sunday, November 6, 2011 • 12:30–4:00 p.m.
Prospective families are invited to the Avis campus for an overview of the Middle School. There will be opportunities to meet key administrators, faculty, and current parents. There will be teacher-led workshops for adults and students as well as a tour of the facilities. This event is for parents/guardians and middle-school-age children.
Middle School Pizza and Play (5–8) • Friday, November 18, 2011 • 5:30–8:30 p.m .
Prospective families are invited to join us for a brief welcome, a light supper of pizza and salad, and the middle school fall play. RSVP’s will be required for this very popular evening.

All current and prospective families are invited to this celebration of diversity, service and authenticity on our elementary campus. There will be storytelling, planting native California seeds, exhibits of Service Learning from all grades, demonstrations of sign language, singing by the elementary chorus, family African dance, and, of course, delicious food to share.
Middle School Matters • Wednesday, January 18 • 7:00–8:30 p.m. • Avis Campus
This year’s guest speaker will be Mark Brackett, Ph.D., a research scientist in the Department of Psychology at Yale University, Deputy Director of Yale’s Health, Emotion, and Behavior Laboratory, and Head of the Emotional Intelligence Unit in the Edward Zigler Center for Child Development and Social Policy. He focuses on how emotional intelligence impacts quality of life, including mental health, relationships, academic/work performance, and the effectiveness of Social Emotional Learning interventions. The Prospect Sierra Parent Association presents an annual series of parent education events. Consider joining us for this insightful presentation from Eileen and Jon Gallo, who have written two influential books on raising children to be both responsible and financially savvy. Join us to discuss ideas for how to model healthy attitudes and approaches to personal finance.
