EBISA School Fair • Tuesday, October 16, 2012 • 6:30–8:30 p.m.
Prospect Sierra School will be participating in the East Bay Independent Schools Association (EBISA) Fair at the Doubletree Hotel in the Berkeley Marina.
Elementary Information Day (K-4) • Sunday, October 28, 2012 • 12:30–4:00 p.m.
Prospective parents/guardians are invited to the Tapscott campus for an overview of the Elementary School. There will be opportunities to meet key administrators, faculty, and current parents, and to learn about our program. This event is for adults only.

Middle School Information Day (5-8) • Sunday, November 4, 2012 • 12:30–4:00 p.m.
Prospective middle school students and their parents/guardians are invited to the Avis campus for an overview of the Middle School. There will be opportunities to meet key administrators, faculty, and current parents. There will be teacher-led workshops for adults and students as well as a tour of the facilities.

The Prospect Sierra Authors & Lectures presents an annual series of parent education events. Consider joining us for this insightful presentation from Dr. Christine Carter, author of Raising Happiness and professor of sociology with UC Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center. Join us to learn some “happiness habits” and other skills to foster a thriving, resilient, and compassionate society.
Middle School Pizza and Play (5–8) • Friday, November 16, 2012 • 5:30–8:30 p.m .
Prospective families are invited to join us for a brief welcome, a light supper of pizza and salad, and the middle school fall play, The Tempest (featuring grades 6-8). RSVP’s will be required for this very popular evening.

All current and prospective families are invited to this celebration of diversity, service, and authenticity on our elementary campus. There will be storytelling, planting native California seeds, exhibits of Service Learning from all grades, demonstrations of sign language, singing by the elementary chorus, family African dance, and, of course, delicious food to share.

We would love to see you at a presentation from Common Sense Media, the nation’s largest membership organization dedicated to improving kids’ media lives. Together, we will explore the latest techniques and tools available for navigating the increasingly more treacherous waters of social media, both for our children and for ourselves.
