Mission-Minded Use of Media

The middle school’s 3,850-square-foot library facilities include a library classroom with computers, a quiet reading room, and a large central library space. The library’s mission is threefold: to enrich the school’s educational programs through access to resources, curriculum development, and skills instruction; to provide for the interests and needs of students with varied learning styles, diverse backgrounds, and individual strengths and talents; and to develop and nurture a love of literature and reading.

Librarians and Academic Technology partner with teachers to develop and support curriculum with print, online, and multi-media resources. Students use our online catalog and are taught to locate, retrieve, and evaluate information from varied sources and to utilize that information appropriately. Students acquire the skills, experience, and confidence to conduct research.
