Join us Tuesday, April 17 when Connie Sobczak and her teen leaders from The Body Positive return for a discussion and 25 minute film screening. The film, Body Talk for Teens, was made by teens for teens and discusses difficulties in dealing with health and body image issues, offering solutions for navigating these complicated subjects. This event is open to both parents and their children (5th grade and up).

Over the past few weeks, Connie and her team have worked with Prospect Sierra 7th and 8th graders in the life skills classes. Many students were noticeably moved by these topics, and it became clear that many middle schoolers struggle with difficult feelings about their own beauty and self-worth when they look in the mirror. This evening screening and discussion provides an opportunity for parents to become more educated, aware, and supportive of their children and themselves.
Free childcare available for current Prospect Sierra students only
