1st Graders Shine a Light on Community
In first grade, our students learn about the different communities they are a part of. One of our students’ main wonderings as they investigate the topic of community this year is what communities need in order to be successful and thrive. So far, our kids believe that above all else, it’s the people!
After conducting interviews with the special people that make our school what it is, first graders wrote up interviewee answers inspired by the pattern in The Important Book by Margaret Wise Brown. Their art was separately inspired by The Knuffle Bunny series by Mo Willems.
We hope you’ll stop by our Tapscott campus poster display and enjoy getting to know our community helpers!
