4th Graders Visit the Capitol
4th graders experienced California’s rich past and the making of history through the modern lawmaking process with their recent study trip to the State Capitol!
Students’ tour included an insightful history of the Capitol building, along with stories behind all of the “gold” in the Capitol, the state seal, and everyday logistics like how to change a lightbulb in the rotunda dome.
4th graders broke for lunch on the North lawn before heading to the Department of Justice. While at the DOJ, students toured the 17th floor and sat in the conference room room where Attorney General @robbonta meets with his advisors. They also participated in a career panel where three employees shared their professional and personal histories and their current job responsibilities.
Overall, students loved their immersive day of experiential learning in Sacramento!
