Mike Miller

Mike Miller, Middle School Learning Specialist, came to Prospect Sierra full-time in the fall of 2022, after collaborating with the learning services department for several years, serving individual Prospect Sierra families. A Bay Area native, Mike received their MA in elementary education and a multiple-subject teaching credential from UC Berkeley, and their educational therapy certificate from UC Irvine. Working one-on-one with students to overcome learning challenges for over 15 years, Mike spent the rest of their time becoming a world-class competitive pinball player and a vaguely internet-famous giant soap bubble artist, in addition to recording their own music, leading Bay Area hikes, and wishing they could see more live music. They live with their partner, Emily, who teaches Art, and their two daughters, Natasha and Delilah, right next to the Oakland Zoo. Sadly, however, they do not hear lion or elephant noises at night.
