Fun Facts About Our New Tapscott Leader, Quise!
We recently caught up with one of the newest members of the Tapscott community, Elementary Division Head Quise Rodriguez, to ask her some very important questions to help us get to know her:
What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Vanilla, soft serve especially! (Sometimes with toppings mixed in like cookies or reese’s peanut butter cups.)
What was your favorite book in elementary school?
The two books that I loved the most were – A Wrinkle in Time and Third Grade is Terrible. 3rd grade is of course not terrible, but awesome! 🙂
Tell us about a teacher who had an impact on you and why?
Kathy Keys – my favorite to this day and I still keep in contact with her (she taught me third grade). She LOVES animals and when she retired from teaching she continued to work at the Oakland Zoo. I love dogs and she loves dogs and I think that was a huge connection for me as a kid. Her house was around the corner from the school and she would take us to her house and we would sit out in the garden and work on projects.
If you could have any superpower for a day, what would you choose and why?
To fly! I love flying on airplanes and I would love to be able to just pick up and fly at any time.
What brings you joy?
My family (human and my four-legged babies) and my friends
What is it like being “new” at Prospect Sierra?
Exciting! I have loved it so far because everyone teaches me something new.
Thank you, Quise, for sharing a little bit about yourself with us! We can’t wait to get to know you, even more, this year!
