Beatriz Rivera

Beatriz Rivera, 7th Grade Spanish Teacher and Advisor, brings thirty years of Spanish teaching expertise to Prospect Sierra. Originally from Guadalajara, Mexico, she completed her BA in Latino/a studies at San Francisco State University. Beatriz’s deep appreciation for social-emotional learning fosters strong connections with her students. Having developed numerous comprehensive Spanish instructional programs, she is dedicated to ensuring the highest level of language acquisition for all students. Beatriz raised a bilingual daughter in Oakland and takes pride in passing on her family’s traditions and language to her students, including her twin granddaughters.
