Emily Burns

Emily Burns, High School Placement Counselor, enjoyed working in admissions for 11 years before joining Prospect Sierra. With her experience directing the high school admissions process at both independent and Catholic high schools in the Bay Area, she is excited to now work with students and families from the other side of the desk. She holds a BA in gender and women’s studies from Scripps College and an MA in education leadership from Teachers College at Columbia University. In her free time, she enjoys reading cookbooks and preparing delicious meals with her husband in Oakland.
