Julie Ouellette

Julie Ouellette, Middle School Art Teacher, has been teaching at Prospect Sierra for over 20 years. Julie first taught art electives at the Avis campus while working for the Junior Center of Art and Science (JCAS) in Oakland where she was the Program Coordinator. At JCAS Julie designed exhibits and educational programs for children and teachers. Julie earned a BFA and a master’s of art education from the California College of Arts in Oakland. She also earned her California teaching credential for elementary and single subject: art. While working at Prospect Sierra Julie has been excited to gain tech skills and develop knowledge in SEL and DEI best practices. Julie enjoys working in a variety of art mediums and loves gardening, animals, nature, and spending time with family. She relishes the opportunity to connect more deeply with students through art.
